Patanjali Yoga Sutra - II - 37

The source of all wealth

Asteya Pratishtayam Sarva Rathnopasthanam|

For the one who practices non-stealing of what does not belong to one - all the jewels and riches of the world will come a seeking. The logic is simple. Wealth and riches are Maya Shakti. The more you chase her, the more she slips out of hand. But for the one who cares not about riches and wealth, it comes seeking them. The answer is in simply being with one's own self. Everything one needs to live in the world comes and falls in place. - Swahilya Shambhavi.

Many argue with Lord Krishna when He says your duty is to do only and not seek its fruits. He does not say you will be deprived of your fruits but only says the focus shall be on doing and not on its fruits. Now explanation of Patanjali's strengthens my belief on Lord Krishna and saints who left us an invaluable legacy. We are poorer by words to thank them.

Yes RM Subramanian: Focussing on the result takes away our attention from the action. Any action has Adhishtanam - the seat of action, karta - the doer, karanam - tools for action, Cheshta - Actions and Daivam - Fate. While we may be in the seat of action, be the doer, with the tools and do actions, the fifth Daivam is a quotient that is not in our hands. That can cause the result to be favourable or unfavourable. When it is not in our hands, then focussing on the result takes the concentration from the action that needs to be done.

True. Good one. This is applicable not only to Jewels and riches even other things like Power and people in life.
