Patanjali Yoga Sutra - II - 52

Destroys the veil covering light
Tatah ksheeyate Prakashavaranam|

Regular practice of Pranayama thins out the veil of chitta vrittis or mental impurities caused by desire, anger, delusion, greed, arrogance and jealousy. These thoughts born out of avidya or ignorance of the supreme truth within, hides the light like a screen. Regulation of the flow of Prana helps to attenuate this covering. - Swahilya Shambhavi. Brilliant post, as ever! More so, in relevance, which I find this to be for the timeless attribute it carries!

Hi Swahilya,

Was great meeting you at the Buddhist meeting last weekend. Wonderful to find your blog so quickly and also see the top post on Yoga Sutras....have been wanting to study the same for a while now...have been making attempts with Saras, most of them interrupted and its already been a year and a half! Amazing how the Universe listens to your inner yearnings :)

Will be following you and adding you as discussed. Take care,
Sumita
