Savichara Nirvichara Samadhi
Eta yaiva Savichara Nirvichara cha Sukshma Vishaya VyakhyataAll this while, Patanjali explained about the different states of Samadhi born out of meditating on a form with a definition and a name. Now, he speaks of a state of absorption by mere contemplation on a formless idea such as love, universe, cosmos or consciousness called Savichara Samadhi and a state of Nirvichara Samadhi where the mind is absorbed in consciousness without even holding on to or contemplating about an idea or abstract concepts. In this manner, the contemplation shifts from a gross form to a subtle dimension. - Swahilya Shambhavi. (Pic. The reflection of mountain peaks and the trees around the Deoria Tal Lake at Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag District. An arduous trek took me up to the lake. As I was contemplating in its benign presence, a boy jumped into the waters for a splash and swim and I could feel the waves of energy spread all around.)

Interesting. You often give me food for thought, thank-you.
Welcome Mark! You are so fast. I hardly posted half an hour ago.
Hi, how are you? It has been a long time. Sorry.
Nice post. Make me think deeper. Thank you. Take care.
Thanks.
Each level more subtle,
closer and closer,
to something
yet further away
from everything

That which is nearest
Is the farthest too
Never can it be touched
Nor tasted, nor smelt, nor seen
But exist it does eternally.
beautiful shot comprising both the real and the shadow..contemplative one indeed!
welcome merging point. thankyou
What a great concept, Swahliya. Beautiful post and pic. It's so seldom I let my mind relax like that. Am enjoying the yoga exercises with Jeff. It's a great time for renewal.
Help! Snowflakes are in the forecast.
Hugs, JJ
Dear swahilya, it is inspiring to read this post. This evening I will try out love as a meditation theme...
Love and Light Rainer
Yes JJ..come to think of it, one year has gone by so fast from snow to snowflakes again! Welcome.
Yoga, in whatever form it is practised, is a tool to take you to the depths of your being. It makes you see the outside, from within, rather than a surface perception.
Welcome Rainer!
